Lake Manyara National Park

About Lake Manyara

Located between the western slopes of the great rift valley and Lake Manyara here you will find a large diversity of birds, with there being over 300 different species of birds in the area, including thousands of flamingos. The lake is a shallow alkaline lake, which can be visited all year round, although in the wet season almost 2⁄3-thirds of the park can be covered by the lake. The famous tree-climbing lions are also often found throughout the forest here.

  •  A unique experience that can be done here is a walking safaris and a canoe safari, allowing you to get out of the safari vehicle to explore the area on foot.
