Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our Ngotea Distinctive Safaris team welcomes you and transfers you to your hotel in Arusha. In the evening, meet your guide for a full pre-climb briefing and gear check.

You’re driven to Momella Gate, the starting point of your trek. Today’s walk passes through open grasslands and montane forest with possible sightings of wildlife.
After 4–6 hours of hiking, you arrive at Miriakamba Hut, where you’ll relax, have dinner, and overnight.

The trail becomes steeper today as you hike through a mix of forest and moorland zones. After 3–5 hours, you reach Saddle Hut. In the afternoon, take a short acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m) before heading back for dinner and an early sleep in preparation for summit night.

You’ll start the summit climb at 2:00 am, ascending past Rhino Point and Cobra Point before reaching the summit of Socialist Peak. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise and panoramic views of the crater and Mount Kilimanjaro.
After your summit celebration, descend back to Saddle Hut, then continue to Miriakamba Hut for your final overnight on the mountain.

Enjoy a relaxed morning hike back to Momella Gate through the forest. At the gate, your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha, where you can enjoy a refreshing shower and some rest.

After breakfast, enjoy your last hours in Tanzania before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
