On arrival at the airport after all the customs, our representative will meet and greet you at the arrival gate and transfer you to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. You'll spend the day relaxing and acclimating to your new weather and surroundings in Africa.
After breakfast at your lodge, you will depart to Tarangire National Park passing through open plains south of Arusha town. During the dry season, Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, and its wetlands in the southeast portion of the park support over 300 varieties of birds. With fewer tourists than other parks, Tarangire's rolling savannah dotted with thousands of baobab and acacia trees offers a great chance to enjoy Africa's wilderness and solitude.
After breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater passing through the forested slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater Highlands before arriving at the rim of the crater. You'll descend into the crater which is one of the most densely crowded game areas in the world, home to nearly 40,000 animals. Here, you will have a good chance of seeing the Big Five. After a picnic lunch, you will continue your game drive. Then, you will depart the crater to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
